For the ones who weren't victims, they may or may not give a care of his bad business practice. Desperate times sometimes call for desperate measures. If he discounted some of his inventory and was still able to make a profit, well then he still makes his money. Even if these same customers take advantage of the discount and then never do business with him again, they still bought products a little cheaper and Coz still makes a buck, even though it's the ideal situation of making money.
Times are tough, some people are all about saving a buck or two, even if it's for their expensive car hobby.
